I am a theatre director working mainly in the North West. My main focuses are new writing and devised theatre, and I am always interested in working collaboratively – with artists, community members and partner organisations.
In 2018, I directed ‘Sticklebacks and Swingboats‘, a £25k Arts Council-funded intergenerational performance. The project, described as “perfect community theatre”, saw participants of all ages collaborate on story, characters and set design.
I have worked with the Young Vic in London as one of their supported directors, and in 2019, I won Best Director at the Off Cut Festival.
In 2020, I will co-direct the opening show of the newly refurbished Octagon Theatre.
I studied languages at university, and speak French fluently. As part of my degree, I studied theatre and puppetry at the Université Bordeaux Montaigne.
Outside of directing, I run Manchester’s Big Theatre Podcast, interviewing local artists and companies about their work.
